Next Step Financial Award Program for graduating students

Entries accepted from March 19, 2018-April 13, 2018

Are you a graduating student or recent grad from a Canadian college?

Fairstone is awarding 10 Canadian college graduates $4,000 to help them avoid debt and get ready for the next phase of their life. Our Next Step program supports graduating students as they get started on their career and pay for expenses after school.

Could $4,000 help you take the Next Step in your career?

Submit a video telling us how you would use the $4,000 prize as you finish college and get ready for your career for your chance to win a Next Step Financial Award. Whether the award will help you relocate for a new job, buy tools for your trade, buy a car to get to work, or something else altogether, we want to hear your story.

How the program works

To enter:

Submit a 1-2 minute video explaining how the prize would help you avoid debt while preparing for the Next Step – your career. Make sure you submit your video by April 13.

How winners are chosen:

After the contest ends, a panel of judges will review the videos and vote for the top 10 submissions. Prizes will be distributed geographically, with 2 winners in Atlantic Canada, 2 winners in Quebec, 3 winners in Ontario and 3 winners in Western Canada.

Claiming your prize:

Winners will be announced on May 3 and will receive the initial $3,000 portion of their prize by May 14. In September, we’ll check-in to see how the financial award has supported your Next Step, and you’ll receive the $1,000 portion of your prize.
