Supporting the neighbourhoods where we live and work

Across Canada, Fairstone employees volunteer and hold leadership roles in community organizations. We are dedicated to sharing our time, talents and expertise and making a difference in our communities. We sponsor local events and support activities that recognize, entertain and bring people together. And we proudly provide financial support for both national and local charities.

Food Banks Canada

Fairstone is proud to join Food Banks Canada in the fight against hunger. Since 2010, Fairstone has made corporate donations to Food Banks Canada totaling more than $335,000. Through 12 nationwide volunteer events, we’ve provided numerous employee volunteer hours and collected almost 50,000 lbs. of food in support of community food banks. Fairstone is proud to support Food Banks Canada and its 450 affiliate member food banks to help support those who need it most.

JA Canada

JA Canada is the largest provider of youth business education programs in Canada, offering programs in the areas of financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship for elementary and high-school aged youth. From 2015–2017 Fairstone will contribute $75,000 to support JA Canada's Dollars with Sense program. Fairstone's support also includes a commitment to provide employees as coaches. Staff will deliver financial literacy programs in classrooms across Canada, teaching students money management skills and challenging them to apply financial concepts in their own lives.

Tree Canada

Tree Canada is a not-for-profit charitable organization that enables Canadian companies, government agencies and individuals to support the planting of trees, the greening of school yards and other efforts to plant and maintain trees. Through our partnership with Tree Canada, Fairstone is planting two trees for every tree used in our direct mail program, reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to the communities of tomorrow.

United Way

Each year, employee volunteers develop events and activities to raise urgently needed funds for the United Way and its member agencies. These events, along with presentations from member agencies, encourage employees to make a payroll donation and raise awareness of the importance of the United Way's work in our communities.

Habitat for Humanity

Fairstone employees generously donate their time and talents in assisting Habitat for Humanity to construct safe and affordable housing for qualifying low-income candidates in their communities.
